1 full-time Researcher in the area of “Question Answering in the Web of Data”

 The Department of Informatics and Telecommunications, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens is searching for ========1 full-time Researcher in the area of “Question Answering in the Web of Data”======== The position is for 1 year only and it is available immediately.The position is offered in the frame of the EU-funded Marie Sklodowska-Curie International Training Network WDAqua: Answering Questions using Web Data, which has started in January 2015.  The project undertakes fundamental and applied research into models, methods and tools for data-driven question answering on the Web. More information about the project is available here: http://wdaqua.informatik.uni-bonn.de/ ===Essential Facts===The hired researcher will spend 1 year working in the WDAqua ITN. He/She will spend the majority of his/her time at the University of Athens, but he/she will be encouraged to visit and engage with other partners in the project.The gross monthly salary (including social security, before taxes) is about 2.280,00€ plus a mobility allowance of 600 €/month and, if applicable, a family allowance of 250 €/month. ===Timeline===Application deadline: 31 January 2017Envisaged job starting date: as soon as possible ===Eligibility and application procedure===Candidates must not have resided for more than 12 months in Greece in the 3 years before starting. They must hold an M.Sc. degree in computer science or a related field and be able to combine both theoretical and practical aspects in their work. Fluent English communication and a passion for developing modern software solutions are fundamental requirements. Knowledge of Greek is a plus but not required.
