Abstract:
Data exploration and visualization systems are of great importance in the Big Data era, where the volume and heterogeneity of available information make it difficult for humans to manually explore and analyse it. Exploring and visualizing very large datasets has become a major research challenge, with scalability being a vital requirement. In this talk, we will present our work on scalable visual exploration over large datasets. Particularly, in the first part we will present a framework that offers efficient multi-level visual exploration over large numeric and temporal datasets. In the second part, we will present a scalable platform for large graph visualization.
