Lydia Themeli holds an M.A. in Contemporary European Studies (2003) from Bath University, UK and Charles University, Czech Republic, and a B.A. majoring in Economics (2002) from Deree College, the American College of Greece. She has been working at the Department of Informatics and Telecommunications of the University of Athens since 2004 and has been involved in research proposal writing, events organisation and the technical and financial coordination and management of several EU and nationally funded projects for research in Information and Communication Technologies and related topics. She has also been involved in project management and research in "Athena" Research and Innovation Center and the Acropolis Museum.
